There are a few different questions that a professional working in social media needs to ask. The first question is, "What communication and business objectives are the most important to consider for this social media initiative?" The second question is, "What types of content really resonated with our audience?" The third question is, "Which channels have been our strongest in the past?" And the final question is, "How much in terms of resources do we have to spend on this content execution?"
Content marketing is when you promote, distribute, and attract your content to many people. It is important to be able to create your own content so it goes with your brand, the resources you use are trusted, and can provide valuable assets to your social media campaign.
Good content has a few different aspects to it. Those are being relevant, personal being evergreen which means that it stays relevant for a long time. An audit is a good way to see if the assets are working from the content you have already made.
It's a good idea to have a strategy, a calendar, and to promote your content. Short-form content is the type that is typically seen on social media. Long-form content goes deeper on a topic and can be see on blogs, books, reports, etc.
There are a few different ways to get your content out. You can use paid media, shared media, or owned media. You want to make sure that you have brand awareness though no matter how you get your content. Having brand awareness will gain trust and make you are credible brand.
